Manual Transfer – FAQ

Written by Agnest

You can proceed with a manual transfer if your bank is not listed or if you are facing any issues with open banking transfer.

In a manual transfer, we will provide you with the recipient details, and you will need to complete the payment directly from your bank app using those details.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What should I enter as the recipient name?

Please enter the exact recipient name shown on the Manual Transfer page while making the payment.

My bank is flagging the recipient name as wrong. Should I be worried?

Yes, you can proceed. As long as the IBAN is correct, and the transfer amount is accurate your transfer will be processed successfully.

Why is the BIC code different in my bank app?

We've spotted this and our team is working on getting to the bottom of it. For now, this mismatch won't affect your transfer in any way.

The IBAN is what determines where your funds go so as long as the IBAN is right and the amount is correct, your payment will land exactly where it should. You can safely ignore the BIC difference and proceed.

Is the reference number necessary?

If a reference number is shown on the Manual Transfer page, we recommend including it. If no reference number is provided, you can skip it.

Why is my own name showing up as the recipient?

ScopeX creates a virtual IBAN specifically in your name, this is how we link incoming funds directly to your transfer. So when you see your own name as the recipient, it means everything is set up correctly and working as expected.
