You may experience trouble with your passkey when activating your ScopeX wallet, or approving your transfer. The good news is, there are quick and easy solutions for the issue!
Common issues
'No passkey found' error, which happens because of a deleted passkey, device reset or other reasons
Prompt to use a different/USB device, which happens because the passkey was set up on a different device
How to Fix This Issue
Fixing the “No Passkey Found” Error
Solution: You can resolve this by creating a new passkey on your current device.
Steps to recover your wallet and create a new passkey:
Step 1: Open the app and tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top-left of the Home screen.
Step 2: Select Settings.
Step 3: Tap Wallet Recovery.
Step 4: Select Recover, then tap Verify.
Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your registered email.
Step 6: Choose your passkey manager and follow the on-screen instructions to create and save the passkey.
ℹ️ Note:
Microsoft Authenticator is not supported.
If you have a Samsung device, save your passkey in Google Password Manager instead of Samsung Pass.
What to Do If Asked to Switch Devices or Use USB
If you see the “Use a different device or USB security key” error, it means the passkey is not enabled on your current device.
Solution: Enable the passkey, recover your wallet and then try activating your wallet or approve the transfer
IOS Device (Iphone)
You might see an error message on iOS when the passkey is not enabled (please refer to the attached screenshot).
Steps to Enable Passkey on iOS
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on General
Step 2: Tap on Autofill Passwords and Passkeys.
Step 3: Make sure the Passwords app is selected as the autofill provider.
Once the passkey is enabled, recover your wallet and then proceed to activate the wallet or approve your transfer.
Android Device
Error message on Android if the passkey is not enabled (please refer to the attached screenshot).
Steps to Enable Passkey on Android
Step 1: On your Android device, open the Settings app and search for "Autofill service".
Step 2: Select 'Autofill service' and ensure that Google is selected.
Step 3: Tap on 'Autofill with Google' (below Autofill service) and verify that the Gmail account listed under Google Account is the one you wish to use for saving passwords.
Once the passkey is enabled, recover your wallet and then proceed to activate the wallet or approve your transfer.
